Master in International Relations 2016-2017 Instructions for the final Project Work TITLE: QUALITY EDUCATION FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT: THE ROLE OF PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS IN HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. In order to get the final Diploma of the Master in International Relations students are expected to write a Project Work: a personal research project consisting of an interdisciplinary and critical analysis of a specific issue related to international relations. The specific topic, agreed with a professor or a professional from a partner institution (supervisor), must be approved by the Director of the Master. The work will include analysis, comments and original conclusions of the student on the topic agreed with the supervisor, with full reference (footnote) to background materials (readings, data, interviews). The text may also include annexes, like official documents, declarations, reports, statistical tables, text of interviews. Please remind that plagiarism is a very serious offence, which is not tolerated by the ASERI Faculty members. All sources of information must be acknowledged according to common practice. Structure of the Project Work: The project work must include the following parts: 1. table of contents/index; 2. introduction (presenting goals and methodology); 3. main body, articulated in chapters and paragraphs as appropriate; 4. conclusions; 5. references; 6. annexes (if needed). The text should be from 30 to 50 pages (from introduction to conclusions). Please remember: footnotes must indicate the source of all data, information, definitions, quotations, you used to write the paper. The students’ Project Works will be orally presented to the Evaluation Board at the end of the Master’s program. The written paper and the oral presentation will be independently assessed by the members of the Evaluation Board, and both assessments will enter the final evaluation. Project Work deadlines: – July 24th, 2017: students are required to submit to the Program Assistant the name of the supervisor, the (provisional) title, the abstract and the (provisional) index of their Project Works. – October 31st, 2017: delivery of the hard copy of the Project Work and of the electronic pdf. version.
