Web Design for Innovation Web and App Development Assignment Help-a dream weaver website, mobile app and a design brief

This is an individual assessment. Leading on from assessment one, you will use your design brief and original prototypes to create a website for Amber Cars. Additionally, you will write a design report detailing how you made use of UX Design guidelines in your design. You will create a simple App using App Maker and reflect on this within your report. This assessment is based upon the Amber Cars case study. However, if you have a specific company or idea you would prefer to base your work on, you can discuss this with your lecturer.

The three components to be assessed are:

  • Design Report:            Maximum word count of 2,500 words
  • Dreamweaver Website:            Created in Dreamweaver
  • Mobile App: Created in App Maker (but reflected on within your report)

Continuing your work as a Web Developer for Amber Cars you have been asked to complete the Design and Development stages to produce a website and mobile app. You will use the requirements and design documentation created in assessment one to inform your design. In creating the webpages remember the company contact information is as follows:

Office Location: Amber Cars Northampton, 35-37 Kingswell Street, Northampton, NN1 1PP

Email address: amber-cars@hotmail.co.uk

Web address: www.amber-cars.co.uk

You will find the relevant business logo and office photographs on the “assessment area” within Blackboard.

  • A clear navigation layout
  • Application of background colour
  • Link to the Amber Cars website
  • Link to the Amber Cars Facebook page
  • A Click to Call option to call the company office
  • Google maps showing the location of the Amber Cars office
  • Create an online form so customers can make bookings via the app (you will need to use Wufoo for this (use wufoo.com to create the form and link to AppMakr).

You will include screen shots of your app development in the appendices of your Design Report.

The Design report is a written element to enable you to demonstrate your knowledge and understandings on UX design guidelines.

The structure of the Design Report will be as follows:

  • Introduction
  • Critical reflection on UX design: Laws of visual perception
  • Critical reflection on UX design: Designing for human memory limitations
