Thesis Papers: Disseminating Evaluation Results
While watching news reports or reading articles, you often hear about “breakthrough research” and how it might affect you and your family. Unfortunately, research study results often are taken out of context, reported without thought of consequences, and/or misunderstood by non-researchers. In the same regard, results from the evaluation of public health programs also can be taken out of context and misunderstood. The process of reporting, or disseminating, your evaluation findings should be done carefully and thoughtfully in order to communicate findings to the public and program stakeholders. In this Discussion, you examine the importance of carefully disseminating evaluation findings.
