Term Papers: How would it be different if you incorporated methods form the “opposite” family of methods from the one you have chosen?

Consider the design of your research proposal. How would it be different if you incorporated methods form the “opposite” family of methods from the one you have chosen? For instance, if your study is quantitative, how would it be different if you also incorporated qualitative methods? What questions would you ask? How would this enhance your project? On the other hand, if your study is qualitative, how might you enhance your study by incorporating quantitative methods? What instruments might you use, and what questions would you want to answer?
