1) Watch any of the films on the attached document, accessible via the links in the document. Be sure to cut and paste the link into a new browser because it will not work if you just click on the link–you’ll need to log in with your Oakton credentials as this streaming service is provided by Oakton. 2) Write a 3 page paper in which you do the following. 2a) Write a one-page summary of the flim and include your reaction to it. 2b) In the remaining two pages, apply one of the 3 theoretical perspectives (structural functionalism, symbolic interactionism or the social conflict perspective) to the topic of the film, using examples from the film to support your argument. 2c) This paper should follow the guidelines of your other papers–be double spaced, 12 point font, include in-text citations and a works cited page, have a clear thesis statement, be relatively free of grammar and spelling mistakes, etc. NOTE: Without APA Style, including in-text citations and a works cited page, no extra credit will be awarded. If you don’t know what this means, come talk to me! Papers are due Thursday, July 27 at 11:59pm in Dropbox . No extensions are available for this extra credit option for any reason because I won’t have time to grade your work and give you the appropriate credit.
