The “Sandwich Generation” (those who still are young enough to have children at home, but who must help care for aging parents) is growing as the Baby Boomer Generation enters Late Adulthood. How old are your parents (if still living)? Are you a member of the sandwich generation, and, if so, what has been your experience trying to manage parenting and caretaking? If you are not, theoretically place yourself in those shoes and describe the challenges. What might theorists such as Erikson or Jung say about this stage of life?
