Guidelines
1. Form a group of three to four students
2. Each group must choose two countries (as long as the two countries do not have a fixed
exchange rate arrangement).
3. Collect five years (2012 – 2016 ) of the country’s balance of payment data (Just the current
account) – you can easily download this information from world bank database (see the links
below)

FIND YOUR COUNTRY AND THEN DOWNLOAD THE DATA.

4. Collect five years (2011 – 2016) of your chosen country’s exchange rate data (December 31st
exchange rate data for each year is ok).
5. Compare and analyzed the changes in the Balance of Payment Accounts (Current Account) and
exchange rate from year to year. Is there any relationship between the two?
6. The project should be submitted with all collected data and analysis – graphs and histograms
will add value to the paper.
7. The hard copy of the project paper is due on the 30th of April, 2018.
