First, go back to the year you were born (1998). Identify a consequential decision made by a political or cultural leader that year (be sure to specify the year, leader, and decision). Then, imagine that person is wavering about the decision. Write a speech, conversational in tone and enclosed in quotation marks, persuading him or her either to make or not make this decision. In your remarks, you might seek to appeal to values and/or experiences your listener could be presumed to hold.
