 Of the items that Dr. Dave Ulrich mentioned in the YouTube video (in the reading assignments for the week) for preparing for HR transformations, select two that you think are most important for the transformation you will recommend in your third paper. Here’s the link for easy reference

The two items that stuck out most to me, in preparing for an HR transformation was, involving customers and involving suppliers.

Some companies invited customers to HR meetings, allowing them to hear the organizations future, and asked if they did those things, if they would buy more or be more involved with the organization (The RBL Group, 2013). Getting current customers feedback is a great way to improve the product or service currently being offered, and to be able to evolve it into something that will keep those customers coming back and attract new customers. Concerning RFC, getting customer feedback will tell them why customers are not continually renewing their memberships, and give suggestions for improvements that could be done to make RFC stand out and attract more customers.

Secondly, the organizations suppliers should be involved in the transformation. The suppliers are those who are filling the organization with the product/equipment customers are using. With RFC, fitness techniques and equipment can, and are always changing. Suppliers are going to be able to inform HR and the organization of new equipment being developed, and what equipment pieces are “trending.” Involving suppliers will help keep the organization up to date with equipment, to draw in customers with diverse workout wants and needs.

The Two I selected are:

HR Talent Management –  An organization would need to have the right approach to employ employees that share the same dream and has the knowledge, ability and Skill set to demonstrate such attitude on the job. Employers would need to know how to attract, attain and motivate best talent in their organization. According to Ulrich employers at times focus is shifted to pay, pension and disputes that they forget the need of talent as a valuable asset in a knowledge-based economy (Ulrich, 2008).

Regulators – Its important for organization to know who they govern by and the do’s and dont’s for their organization.
