Make sure to take the following issues in consideration while completing the methodology section
- What other data collection and analysis strategies could you have considered to answer your research question? Why did you choose to exclude these strategies?
- Critically analyze the ethical implications of your research methodology and methods and explain how you will address any ethical challenges.
- Development of questionnaire and or interview questions
- Describe the participants and their characteristics.
- Describe the process of collecting the data.
- Discuss the types of data (i.e. qualitative, quantitative, or mixed) you intend to collect with your chosen
- Provide the strengths and weakness of your choosing methodology, including why you did not select an alternative
General Guideline
Prepare your individual research project by using the following general guideline (the instructor will provide more detail on these elements during the class time).
- Abstract ( an abstract is a brief summary of a research article)
- Introduction (Topic, Research Objectives, Context, and Rationale, some general literature review)
In this section, you will present your research topic, rationale for choosing your research topic using academic references, the context for your research topic, some general literature review, and the research question(s)/general objectives for conducting the research.
- Purpose of your study and its contributions
- Specific literature review and development of a research model
Your literature review should review published, peer-reviewed scholarly literature relevant to your research topic and question(s). In your review, you should:
- Critically analyze the major findings, themes, perspectives, and types of prior research conducted on your
- Connect your research question within the literature you reviewed. In other words, identify the gaps in the literature and determine how your research is related to the problems identified in the literature.
- Development of a figure that captures your research model.
- Research hypotheses ( make sure to provide theoretical background and prior research findings that support your hypotheses)
- Methodology
- Data
- Participants
- Measures
- Data and method(s) for collecting data (interview, questionnaire, observation etc.)
- Development of questionnaire and or interview questions
- Analysis ( Present the method of analysis for testing your hypotheses. (descriptive statistics, correlations, ANOVA, MANOVA, Regression, etc.…)
INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH PROJECT
As part of this course, you are required to write and present a paper on a relevant business research topic. The paper must capture the following elements:
- Abstract
- Introduction
- Purpose of the study
- Literature review and development of a research model
- Research hypotheses
- Method
- Data
- Participants
- Measures
- Method for collecting data (interview, questionnaire, observation etc.)
- Development of questionnaire and or interview questions
- Analysis (Present the data analysis plan).
