Get Assignment paper Help-Ethics Paper-general Directions for Final Paper

Here are the general guidelines for your final paper assignment. The paper should be between five and eight pages in length. Due date is by midnight on the last day of class.

The format is a dialogue between yourself and any two to three other philosophers we’ve discussed in class. You should use philosophers who come from different traditions and would have differing perspectives and insights on the question you decide to explore. The topic you will discuss with the philosophers is answering one of the following questions:

What is the best way to care for the self?
What is the best way to care for the other?
What is the best way to care for community?
What is the best way to care for the world?
What is the best way to care for my presence in time?

You will need to explain both what to aspire to in each relationship and what to practice, and how to do so. It is also acceptable if you focus on some element within the relationship you choose. For instance, you might explore the question of friendship within care for the other. You might examine the nature of power and when or if it is permissible to be coercive or manipulative. You could explore the question of animal rights within care for the world. You might examine the question of God from Nietzsche and Kierkegaard’s points of view and their relation to hope and meaning in care for time.

In your dialogue you should explain the meaning of cultivating a graceful presence and the twin aspects of personal power and aspiring to the greatness of goodness. Consider as well the challenges and obstacles of cultivating a graceful presence in the relationship you chose.
