Final Research Prospectus/Abstract This is your last research prospectus. By now you know what I want. We’ve spoken about your paper and now you are finishing up the final draft this week. Write your final research prospectus and submit it in the Research Prospectus Assignment #6. This time give me your research question and a 300 word abstract of your final paper. This will be due during finals week. An abstract is a brief summary of a research article, thesis, review, or any in-depth analysis of a particular subject or discipline, and is often used to help the reader quickly ascertain the paper’s purpose. When used, an abstract always appears at the beginning of a manuscript, acting as the point-of-entry for any given research or scientific paper. For the APA style of documentation a shorter abstract is required for most papers, thus, if you are doing APA you must include a prospectus in your final paper. However, if your abstract is well-written here, you may also use if for your final paper. An abstract is not required for MLA papers; nevertheless, to get the experience you are only going to write an abstract that will appear here in this final research prospectus.
