Read and use the text from “Groundwork for the metaphysics of morals” by Immanuel Kant pages 9-21 and pages 38-42. I will send you a link to the PDF of the book. This is a 2 page essay. 1st page: explain what is the universal formula of the categorical imperative? State the formula, and explain in your own words what it says. Use one of Kants examples to show you understand his concepts of how the formula is applied pages 37-40 2nd page: take an example of a moral dilemma from real life and putting yourself in the position of the decision maker, test out a possible action according to the universal formula. Does it pass? Why or why not? Is the formula helpful in determining how you should act? Why or why not?
