The purpose of the research paper is to explain to an audience what your research tells you. Keep in mind that you are not trying to persuade an audience to see things the way you do. Rather, you are explaining what your research suggests the answer is. Organization
-Introduction-Engage the reader’s interest. Make clear what your topic is and how it connects to the present in a succinct way. Provide a strong thesis statement at the end of the first paragraph. -Provide background information and context that clearly explains the history of your topic

-Discuss how your topic has impacted society in the present (spend around 4 pages on this) -Conclusion- Why is this important? Why does this matter? What implications does this have for the future? You will use in-text citations and you will need to provide a Works Cited page. You must use at least 10 sources for your paper. You may want to use more. The more sources you have, the more you will be able to write. For the research paper, try to be very aware of your tone and language. Do not use first person. Do not use contractions. Try to use active voice, and don’t use dangling modifiers. Also, give this paper a creative Title that captures the essence of your topic
