Custom Writing Service- Discrete Distribution Sampling

Discrete distribution sampling

Discuss the change in the estimates as n increases.

Discuss how your observations might change with a change in the time of data collection.

Discuss why the data you are collecting is relevant to the chosen distribution.

Each person should collect 10 sample values.

So for each person in your sample urine to determine whether that is a success observation or not. Also keep track of the time between arrivals and we will use that information in a couple weeks when we get to continuous distributions

Using the first 5 observations, calculate the your estimate of the P value

Using the first 10 observations, calculate your estimate of the P value

so for the binomial problem you’ll have a column of zeros and ones. And then you’ll have another column indicating the time between arrivals which will use later on.

Put these into Excel, use the average function to calculate the average over each interval..

prepare a graph to show how your estimate of the P value changes over the size of your sample

The goal is to identify real-world applications, and determine the associated parameter

Pick a place to collect data (grocery, restaurant, city, street, park, etc.) Be creative. Keep it convenient. Avoid Chick-fil-A. Avoid fast food examples as we discussed several of these in class. Do not repeat an example we’ve Artie done in class. Your best bet is to choose a company that we’ve never looked at before. Try to be unique.
