Give accounts of rationalism and empiricism. If you favor one over the other, explain your viewpoint. If you do not favor one over the other, explain the aspects of each, which you are unable to surrender.
Compare and contrast the view, which sees the self primarily as individual (atomic) with the view that sees the self primarily as social. What are the implications of these views? If you favor one over the other, why?
Summarize the primary solutions to the mind/body problem. Which theory do you find to be most compelling? If there is another theory that you find more compelling, explain it.
Explain the determinism and free will positions. Which view do you find most compelling, and why?
Why should you behave morally towards others? You might wish to consider this question in light of some or all of the moral theories we have considered (deontology, consequentialism, virtue, care.)
