The GCU Library scholarly database has peer reviewed journal articles filtered out from the other fluff articles that can be found on the internet. Cochrane and Joanna Briggs have evidence-based resources and systemic reviews to offer students the best articles for their research (Grand Canyon University Library, 2018). With Google Scholar and a general internet search there is criteria publishers must meet, but this is checked by a computer therefore some journals get through that are not good quality (Michigan State University Libraries, n.d.). Google searches can lead you to sites that people have posted without any verification, and with many others believing and agreeing without evidence it can be easy to get confused. This is why it is important to look at the original source of where the information is being collected to verify that it has been reviewed and is evidenced-based.
