This paper is to be a graduate-level paper. Please follow the basic book critique instructions below. 1. Summarize the contents of the book (assume that the reader of your review has not read the book). 2. Identify the book’s strengths and weaknesses. 3. Note the author’s intended audience and purpose in writing the work (found in the introduction or foreword) and state whether or not you believe he achieved that goal. 4. Compare the author’s work with similar works, if possible (for example, commentaries on Psalms in Lewis’s case). 5. Note whether you would recommend the book or not and why. 6. Pay attention to grammar and spelling. 7. There is no need to footnote in a review (citations from Lewis or other works can be noted in parentheses format as follows—author, abbreviated title and page). 8. The critique must adhere to current Turabian formatting. 9. Length should be 5–6 pages. This assignment is due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of Module/Week 5. |
