Buy Coursework: Coursework Writing- The major impact of technology on World War I
The proposed paper will begin with the prediction of the British writer H. G. Wells about the fate of humanity. Although considered a father of science fiction, Wells was observing something all too real—technology had changed the face of combat in World War I and ultimately accounted for an unprecedented loss of human life. Also, in the proposal, I will examination the role of technology during World War I in determining who won, and why it was used; and how such technology changed the entire face of battle. Involved parties no longer marched in a line and fire at each other. One machine gun could wipe out the entire line. The major impact of technology on World War I was that it made the war much more difficult for the infantry soldiers who did most of the fighting. There were many new technologies’ that were created and designed specifically for the war. These include tanks, flamethrowers, poison gas, tracer bullets, interrupter gear, pilot less drones, and many more. For the purpose of this paper, I will aim my focus on the one new technology that influenced World War I the most: the tank. Overall the war would have been much longer had there not been any of these technologies. This is because if there weren’t any of these technologies less soldiers would have been killed and the process to defeat the opposing country and get more land would take much longer therefor lengthening the war.
