Yes, measurement should be done more frequently than annually. I feel like measurement should be done quarterly so it breaks down how things are functioning throughout the organization more regularly. Measurements should be revised if they are not working in a way that makes sense for the organization. (Bika, 2017). Staff in the organization should know what is being measured so that they know what to focus on to get positive outcomes that are being measured. Communication helps staff to know the importance of what is being measured.
Measurement being done quarterly helps to bring new knowledge into the organization so that improvements can be made more regularly when needed. (HQO, 2013). Data that is collected quarterly allows trends to show so that things can be learned from what is being measured. If things are not going according to how the organization would like, changes can be made for improvements. Not so successful outcomes allow changes to be made so that they are implemented to have successful outcomes. Measurements are to be reviewed but more than annually is more effective to keep success continuous in an organization.
