POST (1): Based on the material you’ve learned up to this point in BIOL 103, what goes wrong at the cellular level when cancer is present?
POST(2): The cancer causes we do have control over are the ones that come from substances we consciously put into our bodies. These substances can include but are not limited to tobacco that comes from smoking cigarettes, alcohol, processed foods that can lead to being overweight which can in turn contribute to the development of cancer. There are many substances out there we can choose not to consume to help prevent cancer from even starting in the first place. The cause of cancer that we do not have control over is mainly genetics. Our genes can pre-determine certain aspects we will inherit from our family blood line, and it is proven that only a small number of cancers are caused by genetics. The rest are not.
