For this project, I guess I’m going to do it on Price Attention & Memory theory. The instructions the professor gave is down below:
This project will provide students with experience applying some of the concepts studied. Students are to select one major consumer behavior concept or theory and design an experiment to test the theory. For example, a student may wish to test Price Attention & Memory theory. More specifically, the student would want to identify the extent to which consumers focus on price while shopping. An alternative investigation might be to examine Consumer Perception: Blind product tests. As we progress throughout the semester, an idea for this project will surface.
Your submission must:
Be in the form of a narrative report presented in WORD docx format. (Do not submit in PDF form).
Include the standard APA 6th style cover page
Structured as:
Introduction – providing some background information on the problem/theory being studied; describe the purpose of the study. It is expected that students perform online research reading academic journals and current business publications to gain a full understanding of the theory.
Hypothesis – Tell the reader what you predict and why.
Procedure – Outline the process to examine the theory.
Results – Report relevant averages and other appropriate summary statistics (mean, medians, standard deviations). Yes… students are expected to use knowledge of Business Statistics J You may use tables, graphs, and figures if appropriate. Inferential statistics and formal hypothesis tests are not required.
Conclusions and Marketing Implications – What was learned from the results and what implications are suggested for consumers and marketers?
Limitations and Further Study – Suggest what might keep your study/results from being generalizable and what you would do differently in follow-up studies. What additional questions do the results raise?
References – The last page of your submission is the APA 6th style reference page. Include not less than five academic and or professional business references in APA 6th style.
