Assessment Task 1- Literature Review (80% weighting)
You are required to write a Literature Review on the subject of Corporate Social
Responsibility. The Literature Review should:
Introduce your Literature Review to the reader and explain your methodology i.e. how
you undertook/conducted your research.
Briefly introduce Corporate Social Responsibility referring to appropriate literature.
o Critically review the literature on Corporate Social Responsibility
o Compare and contrast what different authors say about Corporate Social
Responsibility.
Cite all sources within the text. Include a minimum of six ‘Harvard’ source
references in the correct format (2 books, 2 hard copy journal articles and 2
authoritative electronic sources).
Provide a ‘summary conclusion’ explaining why you have drawn your particular
conclusion/s
Write to a target length of 1000 words. (Marks will be deducted if your word count is
+10% of the specified guideline)
Include full references using the Harvard referencing conventions (refer to the Brighton
Business School Referencing Handbook for guidance)

Assessment Task 2 – Reflective Documents (20% weighting)
Reflective Document 1 (10% weighting):
250 words reflecting on working in groups; first impressions of university
life and making presentations
Reflective Document 2 (10% weighting):
250 words reflecting on your learning style; referencing; academic writing
Additional Tasks
You must attend the TSD or complete the alternative Assignment by 23.59
on Friday 9th December, 2016. (10% penalty for non-completion)
You must also have completed the following additional online tasks by 23.59
on Sunday 3rd December, 2017:
Library Quiz (5% penalty for non-completion)
Excel quiz (5% penalty for non-completion)
Plagiarism quiz (5% penalty for non-completion)
You must include a Self-Assessment Form for the Literature Review and
Reflective Documents Portfolio (there is a 5% penalty for noncompletion
of this form)
This Portfolio Assignment is worth 50% of the marks for the module.
